International gold spot value converted to AED. This is a metal-value reference, not a local jeweller, exchange or government quotation. Lower-karat values are calculated; taxes, local premiums and making charges are excluded. Currency conversion uses the daily ExchangeRate-API update from 2026-10-19 00:02 UTC; its timestamp is separate from the gold observation. The reference date follows the newer of these two inputs, while the gold timestamp is preserved.
24K uses the published reference value.

The World Bank changed its gold benchmark in June 2025: recent months average daily spot prices; earlier months use the London afternoon-fixing series described in the workbook. Treat comparisons across this boundary with that methodology change in mind. The archive is not adjusted for inflation.

Read gold prices in UAE dirhams alongside purity, weight, making charges and the conditions of a Dubai or other emirate shop quotation.
An AED gold quotation can refer to the metal value per gram, a finished jewellery item or a specific bullion product. Establish which price the seller is showing before comparing it with the dashboard. For a chain or bangle, identify the purity and net gold weight. For a bar, read the declared fineness, weight, brand and package details.
This page converts the USD gold reference into UAE dirhams with a separately dated daily exchange-rate input. The currency observation does not refresh each time gold moves. It is separate from a retailer’s own gold-rate board and from the complete price of an item in a Dubai souk or shopping mall. The Dubai, Abu Dhabi, Sharjah and other local rows share the same underlying reference. Their purpose is to make a local quotation easier to compare without inventing separate city prices.
Ask for metal value, making charges, stone value and tax to be understandable in the written offer. If one seller quotes making charges per gram and another offers a percentage discount, reduce both offers to a complete payable total for the same item specifications. A large discount is not informative until the amount to which it applies is clear.
The Federal Tax Authority’s VAT guidance identifies certain investment-grade precious metals among zero-rated supplies. That category does not make every jewellery purchase automatically tax-free. Use the invoice’s product classification and current FTA guidance for the actual transaction, including any distinct service charges.
If you plan to seek a tourist VAT refund, check the retailer’s participation and product eligibility before paying. The FTA tourist-refund procedure explains the documentation and export-validation process. Preserve the purchase record and ensure the goods remain available for any required inspection before checked baggage is handed over. A potential refund should be calculated separately from the price you initially pay.
For purchases intended to leave the UAE, also check your destination’s declaration and import requirements. A favourable AED shop price does not by itself establish the final landed cost. Match currency conversion, purity, weight and all applicable charges before comparing it with a quote from another country.
Dubai Municipality describes precious-metal purity-testing services, while DMCC’s gold guidance discusses the UAE’s bullion ecosystem and standards. A test result or refinery accreditation concerns a defined item, process or organisation. It should not be interpreted as a government endorsement of an unrelated gold-price website or a guarantee of a future resale price.
Use the spot versus retail-price guide to separate the AED reference from a finished product. The Pakistan gold page explains the different local-reference basis used there.
This dashboard shows an international spot equivalent in AED. A shop’s posted reference and its final item price may use different assumptions or update times. Compare the board’s purity and timestamp, then ask for the complete amount payable for your chosen item.
Use the same net gold weight and purity, then request all charges in AED. The city table supplies a common reference rather than a shop survey. Compare the final written totals and return or exchange terms for the actual products.
Only if that is what the written offer says. A discount may apply solely to workmanship while the gold and stones retain their quoted prices. Ask the seller to show the original charge, the reduction and the final total.
No. The FTA identifies qualifying investment-grade precious metals for zero-rating; product conditions matter. A jewellery item should not automatically be treated as investment bullion. Confirm the actual classification and invoice treatment with the seller.
Eligibility depends on the purchase and participation in the scheme. The FTA tourist-refund process explains retailer registration, required documents and validation. Confirm eligibility before buying and do not treat the refund as already received when comparing prices.
Follow the FTA procedure for the original travel document, purchase record and export validation. Keep the goods accessible if inspection is required. A shop receipt alone does not mean every condition of the refund process has been completed.
The calculator measures a metal reference. The coin’s manufacturing, design, packaging and selling premium can increase its product price. Compare the fine-gold weight and the complete delivered amount for the exact coin rather than using its face value.
A test assesses material composition, not commercial value. Dubai Municipality’s testing information explains the purity-testing role. You still need to compare the article’s weight, workmanship and complete offered price to assess its cost.
No. DMCC’s guidance discusses standards for the bullion sector. An accreditation or refinery listing applies within its stated scope; it does not authenticate this dashboard or convert an independent market reference into a government retail price.
Convert both offers to grams first, then match purity and the currency exchange basis. Add the charges relevant to the actual purchase and any cross-border movement. Comparing an AED jewellery total with a PKR metal-only reference is incomplete.
Ask for the dealer’s current buyback policy and an actual offer. The original workmanship charge, stones and selling premium may receive different treatment on resale. Keep the purchase invoice and compare the amount you would receive after all deductions.
It represents the selected series’ movement in UAE dirhams over its recorded dates. Check whether the series is daily or an archive of monthly observations. It does not measure the performance of a particular shop’s jewellery, premiums or resale terms.
