How the gold calculator works
The calculator multiplies the selected purity’s reference value per gram by your weight in grams. A weight in tola or troy ounces is first converted to grams. Calculations retain precision until the final amount is formatted for display.
If the source supplies only a pure-gold reference, a lower-karat value is derived using the karat fraction. If a supported local source supplies its own fineness quotation, that observation can be used instead. The source and purity note beneath the price explains which applies.
What to add for an actual purchase
This calculator estimates the metal reference value. A final bill or buyback offer may include a premium, spread, tax, making charges, testing or refining costs, and separate treatment of stones or non-gold parts. Enter the gold component’s weight, and use a dealer’s written quotation to establish the actual transaction price.
